"Met hulp van CEF willen we 202 laadlocaties plaatsen in 12 landen"

Met de komst van steeds meer elektrische auto’s in West-Europa zijn meer snellaadlocaties nodig. Niet alleen langs snelwegen maar ook in stedelijke gebieden. Het MEGA-E project van het Nederlandse bedrijf Allego wil dat opzetten. Daarvoor heeft het financiële ondersteuning gekregen van de Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) van de Europese Commissie. Steeds meer landen zien het nut en de noodzaak van deze laadplaza’s in.

MEGA-E staat voor Metropolitan Greater Areas Electrified. Het Nederlandse bedrijf Allego voert dit project uit sinds 2018. Projectleider Remco Köhne van Allego: "Met MEGA-E willen we in 12 EU-landen 202 verschillende soorten laadlocaties realiseren. Dus niet alleen langs snelwegen, maar ook in steden bij geschikte locaties. Dat vraagt een strategische aanpak."

Laadplaza’s

Met dat laatste onderscheidt dit MEGA-E project zich van andere projecten. In 12 landen door heel Europa maken elektrische rijders straks gebruik van zogenoemde plaza’s. Hier kan men ultra-snelladen, maar ook gewoon laden. Köhne: "Van de 202 locaties willen we 39 van dit soort plaza’s opzetten. We zoeken daarin bijvoorbeeld de samenwerking met bestaande tanklocaties. In Duitsland plaatsten we bij 10 Tamoil-tankstations ook snelladers. In Frankrijk trekken we op met de hypermarktketen Casino om bij 80 grote supermarkten ultrasnelladers te plaatsen."

Behoefte

MEGA-E voorziet in een behoefte. Dit blijkt uit de locatie die in Eindhoven bij Van der Valk is neergezet, weet Köhne. "Daar wordt veel gebruik gemaakt van de snelladers. Dat komt omdat ze dicht bij de snelweg A2/A67 staan en aan de rand van de binnenstad bij een congrescentrum en hotel. En die gebruikers zijn niet alleen Nederlanders, maar ook reizigers die het hele netwerk langsrijden, zelfs vanuit Noorwegen."

Connecting Europe Facility

Met de CEF wil de Europese Unie gerichte investeringen stimuleren voor Europese transportnetwerken. Het gaat om onderling verbonden netwerken, die duurzaam en efficiënt zijn. Boosting the Electric Vehicle Market in Europe: Plugging the Sustainability Brussels September 19th 2017

European Institutions have been key players in encouraging the uptake of cleaner and more efficient vehicles, championing a European strategy and securing financial support through public-private partnerships such as the European Green Vehicles Initiative (EGVI). 2017 is now set to be decisive year for the roll-out of electric recharging infrastructure, in light of the timely submission of Member States’ National Policy Frameworks for the implementation of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Directive (AFI). The AFI Directive seeks to address consumer anxieties through the deployment of private recharging points, mandating an increase in publicly accessible charging stations and setting EU-wide harmonised standards for charging connectors as well as for user information requirements. These policies support the EU Transport 2050 comprehensive strategy, which set ambitious shifts away from conventionally fuelled cars with the aim of phasing them out of cities completely by 2050.

The automobile industry, which accounts for over 12 million jobs in the EU, will need to rapidly adapt to such a shift in the European economy. Developing innovative solutions to diversify road transport energy sources will not only maintain competitiveness and boost employment, but simultaneously contribute to Europe’s emission reductions. Several important developments have taken place assisting the rollout of a European-wide market for electric and alternative vehicles, though as with any emerging market, some initial problems have hindered its expansion.

Outstanding challenges include a slow consumer uptake, along with a limited range of models available. High costs, long recharge times, emerging safety and standardisation compliance, and a lack of information and awareness, can impact consumer confidence. Further, cooperation between stakeholders, and the question of integrating EV with emerging technologies such as driverless cars and intelligent urban transportation systems, is creating an additional headache for policymakers.

This international symposium invites all key stakeholders for lively discussion on the current framework for electric vehicles and to explore solutions to overcome market barriers whilst plugging the sustainability gap. The symposium will explore the need for flexible partnerships between diverse industries, such as telecommunication, energy providers, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers, to develop innovative solutions across all areas of EV policy and ensure Europe remains a driver of green growth and jobs.

Basque companies from the electric mobility sector explore the Dutch market

Representatives of six organisations and the Basque Energy Cluster took part in a mission to Netherlands (9th-11th May) to see the successful model for the promotion or electric mobility first hand and to identify business opportunities in the field of the electric vehicle and its charging infrastructures.

Continuing with the series of business visits to leading European markets in the field of electric mobility aimed at holding meetings between companies and key agents in the sector, the Basque Energy Cluster, in collaboration with RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland) and the Europe Enterprise Network (EEN), has arranged an intense agenda of meetings and visits in the cities of Utrecht, Delft, Eindhoven, Helmond and Best for 9th, 10th and 11th May, in which IBIL, INGETEAM, DUTT, JEMA, PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF GIPUZKOA and the GIPUZKOA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE have participated.

During their stay, the delegation met representatives of leading organisations in the electric mobility sector, such as E-laad (Knowledge and Innovation Centre for the electric charging infrastructure in Netherlands), RVO (Dutch Business Agency), GreenFlux (Electric mobility manager), Emodz (Systems development for electric mobility) and Heliox (electric bus charging systems), with whom they exchanged experiences and points of view on the development and future evolution of the sector.

There was also the opportunity to visit the country's leading technology and innovation hubs, such as Delft Technical University, Eindhoven Technical University and the Automotive Netherlands Helmond Campus, headquarters of the Dutch Automotive Cluster and over 30 companies and R&D Centres, such as TNO. Their representatives showed the delegation the main lines of research under way related to the integration of renewable energy in electric charging, modelling of the deployment of the electric vehicle and its impact on the electricity grid, and the gradual electrification of vehicles combined with autonomous driving. 

The visit was rounded off with guided visits and tours through Lombok district in Utrecht, equipped with smart charging systems, and the excellent infrastructures of the Automotive Campus and the Universities, among which their laboratories and the workshops of the electric motorbike and vehicle competition teams in Delft, Eindhoven and Helmond can be highlighted, as well as electric bike charging systems using solar panels, opportunity charging prototypes for electric buses and the Green Village, a living-lab to demonstrate and optimise technologies focusing on sustainability.

The ITS Congress and Exhibition is Europe’s largest event in Intelligent Transport Systems and services, representing the annual appointment for the European ITS community to share knowledge, experiences and make business.

The 12th ITS European Congress will take place from 19 to 22 June 2017 at the Strasbourg Convention Centre. Europese middelgrote bedrijven lopen jaarlijks potentieel elk 5,7 miljoen Euro mis door barrières die hun groei belemmeren. Met 75.000 middelgrote bedrijven in Europa komt de totale potentiële misgelopen omzet neer op 433 miljard Euro. Duitse windturbine met waterreservoir voor opslag
Gesignaleerd in Zuid-Duitsland: een innovatieve windmolen die in een eigen waterreservoir staat. Als het waait pompt de molen water omhoog. Als het niet waait loopt het water langs een stroomgenerator het bergdal in, en zo kan de windmolen altijd stroom opwekken. Lees meer.

Nul op de meter in de woningbouwsector
Dankzij de deal Stroomversnelling is het aantal nul-op-de-meterwoningen enorm gegroeid in de huur- en koopsector. Succesvolle ROCKET-lancering in Kleve
Op 1 september 2016 kwamen meer dan 100 hoogwaardige vertegenwoordigers uit de wetenschap, het bedrijfsleven en de politiek bijeen voor de kick-off van het INTERREG V A-project „ROCKET“ in het Euregio Forum te Kleve. Industrie in Oost-Nederland en West-Duitsland werkt aan High Tech drones en sensoren
Het 4-jarige Europese innovatieprogramma SPECTORS is van start! Binnen dit programma werken in totaal 20 Nederlandse en Duitse mkb-bedrijven samen aan het ontwikkelen en testen van 18 innovatieve remote sensing producten. IRAN, het land waar niks mag en alles kan!

Wat te doen tegen de nieuwe box 3 belasting?
Ook de Eerste Kamer heeft ingestemd met de ingrijpende wijziging voor de box 3 heffing. In box 3 wordt er belasting geheven over uw vermogen. Voor de kleine spaarders zal het aantrekkelijker worden om te sparen. Door de wijzigingen wordt met name de grote spaarder en belegger in de portemonnee geraakt. De wereld rond op een elektrische motor
Studenten van de TU Eindhoven rijden met twee zelfgebouwde elektrische motoren in 80 dagen de wereld rond. Dankzij een enorm accupak kan de motor 400 kilometer rijden zonder opladen. Op 14 augustus begon deze spectaculaire wereldreis van 28.000 km, op het moment zijn de studenten in Iran. Lees meer.

Meer subsidies voor duurzame innovaties, Vanaf 1 september 2016
Op 1 september opent een tender met als beschikbaar bedrag € 26.400.000,- voor projecten in Gelderland en Overijssel. Onlangs is besloten dat het subsidiepercentage voor projecten gericht op koolstofarme economie is verhoogd. Deze verhoging geldt voor de komende tender Grote R & D Samenwerkingsprojecten binnen EFRO. Meer elektrische scooters voor Apeldoorn
De 600 ambtenaren van de gemeente Apeldoorn mogen voor hun dienstreizen niet langer in vervuilende privéauto’s rijden. Daarom stelt de gemeente steeds meer fietsen, e-bikes en schone voertuigen ter beschikking. Ook verdubbelde het aantal emco e-scooters voor de buitendienst. Lees meer.

Flexibele verpakking als onderdeel van de circulaire economie
De verpakking is een integraal onderdeel van het product dat het omvat. Dit is de reden waarom de verpakking meestal onopgemerkt blijft tot aan het einde van zijn leven en het gescheiden wordt van zijn product. De eerste vraag die dan gesteld wordt, is of de verpakking gerecycled kan worden. Maar is er ook een slimmere manier om naar de verpakking te kijken? Lees meer.

ESF: Subsidie voor duurzame inzetbaarheid
Bedrijven en instellingen kunnen binnenkort wederom een subsidie-aanvraag indienen bij het Agentschap SZW voor het implementeren van bijvoorbeeld het werken volgens Lean, mits de implementatie zich richt op het bevorderen van de duurzame inzetbaarheid van medewerkers. U krijgt dan 50% van de kosten van de overheid vergoed, tot een bedrag van maximaal € 10.000,-. Let op: wie het eerst komt, wie het eerst maalt! Lees meer.

Impact Energieakkoord op werkgelegenheid
Dit onderzoek heeft mogelijke ontwikkelingen in de aard van de werkgelegenheid (binnen het tijdsbestek van het Energieakkoord) in kaart gebracht en knelpunten geïdentificeerd. Lees meer.

Rijk investeerde bijna 20% meer in energieonderzoek
In 2015 investeerde de Rijksoverheid € 181 miljoen in energieonderzoek en demonstratieprojecten. Dat is 18% meer dan in 2014. Hiermee zijn de publieke investeringen weer terug op het gemiddelde niveau van de periode 2011-2013. Lees meer.

Laatste mogelijkheid om WBSO aan te vragen voor 2016
Wilt u in het laatste kwartaal van 2016 nog de (loon)kosten van uw R&D-project verlagen? Dien dan uiterlijk 31 augustus een WBSO-aanvraag in. Zelfstandigen hebben nog de tijd tot en met 30 september. Bedrijven mogen maximaal 3 keer per jaar een aanvraag indienen. Voor zelfstandigen geldt geen maximum. Lees meer.

Nederland en Frankrijk besteden in 2016 extra aandacht aan de economische dynamiek tussen beide landen. Dit Frans-Nederlands Economisch Jaar loopt door tot december en biedt over en weer kansen voor investeringen en het uitbouwen van handelsrelaties. Lees meer.

3D zonnepanelen vangen licht onder elke hoek
Een team onderzoekers van de Amerikaanse Georgia Tech Universiteit heeft zonnepanelen ontwikkeld die in staat zijn om licht om te zetten in energie, ongeacht onder welke hoek het zonlicht de cel raakt. Dat is niet alleen op aarde handig, maar ook voor de ruimtevaart een zeer interessante ontwikkeling. Lees verder.

Mkb: meer liquiditeit maar minder bereid snel te investeren
Mkb'ers staan niet echt te popelen om te investeren. De bereidheid snel geld te steken in de zaak is flink minder, blijkt uit Ondernemerspeil, een regelmatige peiling van BC.nl onder entrepreneurs. Vorig jaar gaf een dikke meerderheid (56 procent) nog aan snel te investeren, dat is gedaald naar 48 procent. Lees meer.
