Congres Horizon 2020: nieuwe Food Calls voor 2016-2017 op 25 juni 2015 in Wageningen

Op donderdag 25 juni organiseert Oost NV samen met Food Valley en de WUR (plus DLO/LEI) een besloten bijeenkomst voor mkb-bedrijven. We nodigen bedrijven uit die met baanbrekende innovaties bezig zijn en internationaal actief zijn of willen worden. Dus op tijd samen met bijvoorbeeld kennisinstellingen warmlopen en samen met ons je gaan oriënteren op de nieuwe Food calls (2016-2017) die deze zomer door de EC op de markt worden gebracht.

De menukaart is als volgt:

• Intro, waarom zijn Europese programma's interessant voor bedrijven, wat willen we bereiken met elkaar?
• RVO/EEN: hoe werkt H2020 en wat kan het mkb ermee? Wat zoekt de Europese Commissie en hoe wordt u gevonden door het juiste internationale consortium?
• WUR als ervaren aanvrager: samenwerking met het mkb? What's in it for us? Wat brengt het beide partijen?
• Ervaringen en do's en don'ts van een ondernemer (Food gerelateerd) die succesvol in een gehonoreerd H2020 projectteam meedoet;
• Vervolgstappen: adviesgesprekken, stappenplan voor de ondernemer en de rol van Oost NV en Food Valley daarbij.

Verover nieuwe markten

Export naar Zwitserland goedkoper
Export naar Zwitserland is goedkoper geworden. De waarde van de Zwitserse frank is gestegen doordat de koers is losgekoppeld van de euro. Door de waardestijging is de import vanuit eurolanden voor Zwitserland meer dan 10% goedkoper geworden. Dat biedt kansen. Volgens schattingen exporteerde Nederland in 2014 voor ongeveer 5,3 miljard euro aan goederen naar Zwitserland. Meer informatie HIER.

Japan is op zoek naar vervangende energie-bronnen voor de op non-actief gestelde kerncentrales. Drijvende windturbines kunnen uitkomst bieden. Met 2 demonstratieprojecten doet het land onderzoek naar deze vorm van energieopwekking. Meer info HIER.

De staat New York heeft de subsidietender NY Prize gepubliceerd. Hiermee komt zo’n $ 5 miljoen beschikbaar voor microgrid-projecten. Opvouwbare container dankzij Innovatiekrediet

Partners for micro and nano phase changing materials (PCM) wanted for Horizon 2020 call

Description:

The German company aims at developing a new material that would make temperature regulation systems for buildings more sustainable and smarter.

Today PCM is used as a material to keep the temperature constant in a building once the temperature exceeds a special value. 

Nowadays, the phase change between liquid and solid of paraffin is used. The liquid state poses a problem though because the material has to be kept in an envelope of plastic. The diameter of the plastic particles is only about 10 µm.

The project idea of the company tries to tackle this problem by developing a nanomaterial which has weak chemical bonds in its structure. These chemical bonds open or close once the temperature increases or decreases so that a part of the energy is used to change the bonds and not the temperature.

This material doesn't change its state and can be therefore mixed with concrete or plaster. Thus the emerging material would represent a great material for a smart temperature regulation in buildings.

At this stage a German research institute would join the consortium but more partners are needed to complete a well-balanced consortia.

Partners with the following expertise are sought: 

• theoretical development and practical realization of nanoparticels, examination of the particles characteristics
• realization of mixture consisting of concrete and the respective nanoparticels
• examination of the characteristics of the mixtures

Type of partner sought:

• SME and/or research institute

Specific area of activity of the partner:

R&D in nanomaterials and technologies, material testing,  manufacturing of building materials such as concrete

Task to be performed by the partner sought: 

1. theoretical development and practical realization of nanoparticels,
2. examination of the particles characteristics
3. realization of mixture consisting of concrete and the respective nanoparticels examination of the characteristics of the mixtures

The company/research institute that could envisage a coordinating role should have gained some experiences in managing EU projects.
