Matchmaking Event Mobility Meetings 2014 - October 8th 2014 Rotterdam the Netherlands

For the third time in a row, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), Ecomobiel and Netherlands Chamber of Commerce join forces organizing an international matchmaking event during the 2014 Ecomobiel trade show for Sustainable Mobility in Rotterdam. Previous two editions were very successful with matches between Dutch and foreign companies resulting in several innovative products on the E-mobility market, exhibited in 2014 th trade show.

The Ecomobiel trade show is a major event on E-mobility and sustainable transport in Europe. Exhibitors are a.o. car manufacturers, suppliers, research- and services organizations in the E-mobility industry and other areas related to sustainable mobility. For more details, visit HERE.
Ecomobiel has a broad selection of different companies with products, services and technologies and is the only exhibition throughout the world with an indoor test and drive circuit for visitors!

Mobility Meetings 2014 is an unique opportunity during the Ecomobiel Trade Show to meet, learn and match with potential business partners from several European Countries, in combination with a visit to the exhibition. The program consists of a matchmaking event where companies can have pre- selected 1-on-1 meetings with potential partners in trade, development or research. This will take place on the exhibition floor at the 8th of October 2014. In rounds of 20 minutes you will meet all interesting companies you have pre-selected yourself, or companies that would like to meet you. Zelfrijdende auto gaat testrijden op A270

Tijdens het autorijden bellen, appen of het nieuws lezen op je tablet, terwijl je niet op het verkeer let. In het huidige verkeer mag en kan je dat als bestuurder natuurlijk niet doen.

Maar in de toekomst kan dit wel mogelijk worden dankzij de ontwikkeling van de zelfrijdende auto. En die ontwikkeling gaat erg snel. Diverse autofabrikanten zijn volop bezig met de ontwikkeling ervan. Behalve technische en juridische obstakels om het rijden zonder tussenkomst van een bestuurder mogelijk te maken, zullen deze auto's ook uitvoerig getest moeten worden. Daarom hebben Beter Bereikbaar Zuidoost-Brabant (BBZOB), Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer (RDW), gemeenten Eindhoven en Helmond en de provincie Noord-Brabant al een afspraak gemaakt over het testen van de zelfrijdende auto op de openbare weg in de nabije toekomst. Zodra de zelfrijdende auto voldoende ontwikkeld en getest is in de gesloten omgeving, zal de A270 tussen Eindhoven en Helmond de eerste 'proefsnelweg' in Nederland zijn om de voertuigen verantwoord te kunnen testen in een realistische verkeersomgeving.

"De regio Zuidoost-Brabant is erg verheugd dat zij samen met de RDW de praktijktesten van de zelfrijdende auto op de A270 organiseert", aldus mevrouw Blanksma – Van den Heuvel, voorzitter van de Stuurgroep BBZOB. "Als innovatieve regio initiëren wij dergelijke projecten graag. De afgelopen jaren is veel ervaring opgedaan met de A270 als 'living lab' voor smart mobility en hierdoor heeft de regio een goede reputatie opgebouwd in Europa. Een reputatie waar wij trots op zijn." De komende tijd zal BBZOB in samenspraak met RDW en betrokken wegbeheerders de voorwaarden voor verantwoord testen vast gaan leggen om goed voorbereid te zijn op het moment dat er daadwerkelijk getest kan worden. De A270 wordt alleen op een verkeersveilige en verantwoorde manier ter beschikking gesteld voor de proeven met de zelfrijdende auto. Bovendien is een van de testvoorwaarden dat weggebruikers en omwonenden weinig tot geen hinder zullen ondervinden van deze proeven.

Praktische richtlijnen stimuleren het gebruik van elektrische tweewielers

Het aantal elektrische tweewielers neemt sterk toe. Begin 2013 reden er in Nederland circa 1 miljoen elektrische fietsen en circa 29.000 elektrische brom- en snorfietsen en brommobielen. Niet alleen de gebruikers maar ook omwonenden genieten van de voordelen, zoals minder geluidsoverlast en minder uitlaatgassen.

Gemeenten kunnen met verschillende activiteiten het gebruik van elektrische tweewielers faciliteren of stimuleren. Het document ‘Elektrische tweewielers, Het handvat voor uw gemeente’ biedt hiervoor houvast. Ook de documenten ‘Startgids elektrisch vervoer voor gemeenten’ en ‘Laadinfrastructuur, oplossingen voor gemeenten’ helpen u op weg.
