Basque companies from the electric mobility sector explore the Dutch market

Representatives of six organisations and the Basque Energy Cluster took part in a mission to Netherlands (9th-11th May) to see the successful model for the promotion or electric mobility first hand and to identify business opportunities in the field of the electric vehicle and its charging infrastructures.

Continuing with the series of business visits to leading European markets in the field of electric mobility aimed at holding meetings between companies and key agents in the sector, the Basque Energy Cluster, in collaboration with RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland) and the Europe Enterprise Network (EEN), has arranged an intense agenda of meetings and visits in the cities of Utrecht, Delft, Eindhoven, Helmond and Best for 9th, 10th and 11th May, in which IBIL, INGETEAM, DUTT, JEMA, PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF GIPUZKOA and the GIPUZKOA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE have participated.

During their stay, the delegation met representatives of leading organisations in the electric mobility sector, such as E-laad (Knowledge and Innovation Centre for the electric charging infrastructure in Netherlands), RVO (Dutch Business Agency), GreenFlux (Electric mobility manager), Emodz (Systems development for electric mobility) and Heliox (electric bus charging systems), with whom they exchanged experiences and points of view on the development and future evolution of the sector.

There was also the opportunity to visit the country's leading technology and innovation hubs, such as Delft Technical University, Eindhoven Technical University and the Automotive Netherlands Helmond Campus, headquarters of the Dutch Automotive Cluster and over 30 companies and R&D Centres, such as TNO. Their representatives showed the delegation the main lines of research under way related to the integration of renewable energy in electric charging, modelling of the deployment of the electric vehicle and its impact on the electricity grid, and the gradual electrification of vehicles combined with autonomous driving. 

The visit was rounded off with guided visits and tours through Lombok district in Utrecht, equipped with smart charging systems, and the excellent infrastructures of the Automotive Campus and the Universities, among which their laboratories and the workshops of the electric motorbike and vehicle competition teams in Delft, Eindhoven and Helmond can be highlighted, as well as electric bike charging systems using solar panels, opportunity charging prototypes for electric buses and the Green Village, a living-lab to demonstrate and optimise technologies focusing on sustainability.

Wilt u zakendoen in de Verenigde Staten? En bent u werkzaam in de watersector of de energiesector? Holland: a sustainable urban delta
Nederland is onderscheidend in het bedenken van geïntegreerde oplossingen. Een relatief klein landoppervlak, een hoge bevolkingsdichtheid, een kritische samenleving met een hoge levensstandaard en onze onophoudelijke strijd tegen het water hebben de Nederlanders gedwongen om efficiënte, flexibele en slimme oplossingen te ontwikkelen. Hieruit is het concept ‘’sustainable urban delta’’ ontstaan. Dit is de paraplu waaronder deze missie plaats zal vinden en waarmee we bekendheid geven aan Nederlandse duurzame en innovatieve oplossingen wereldwijd. Met dit concept presenteren we ons in de wereld nog sterker als een 'duurzame urbane delta'.

De vraagstukken waar veel steden in de Verenigde Staten mee zitten (onder andere op het gebied van leefbaarheid in steden, energieopwekking, watermanagement) zijn uitdagingen waar wij concrete oplossingen voor hebben. Onze geïntegreerde samenleving waarin industrie, stedeninfrastructuur en water bij elkaar komen is de concretisering hiervan.

In Los Angeles en San Francisco liggen mogelijkheden voor Nederlandse bedrijven op het gebied van delta –en watertechnologie (urban deltas, resilient cities). In 2015 gaan gigantische projecten van start om de 'LA river' volledig te restaureren om overstromingsrisico’s en het verlies van schoon zoet water tegen te gaan. Modern geïntegreerd watermanagement is het uitgangspunt: het verbreden van de rivier, het restaureren van de wetlands en leefomgeving rond de rivier en het verbeteren van het afvoerkanaal. Concreet liggen er opdrachten klaar rondom bijvoorbeeld de Sacramento-San Joachim delta.

In de San Francisco Bay area staan klimaatadaptatie en resilience op de agenda. Het positioneren van de Nederlandse energiesector en de watersector in de Bay area biedt kansen bij aanbestedingsopdrachten in San Francisco.

Voor de (duurzame) energiesector is het gebied rondom Sacramento, San Francisco en Silicon Valley 'the place to be'. Californië loopt binnen de VS voorop wat betreft duurzaamheid. Dit uit zich in beleid en regelgeving op het vlak van lucht- en waterkwaliteit, energievoorziening en duurzame bouw. Als gevolg hiervan wordt er in de regio veel geïnvesteerd in slimme oplossingen. Rondom energie betreft het met name Smart Grids, energieopslag en warmtepompen, IT (big data), solar, security, duurzame bouw en elektrisch vervoer. Dit biedt kansen voor gezamenlijke innovatie en met name op het vlak van de implementatie en nieuwe verdienmodellen is er nog veel te winnen. Nederlandse bedrijven en kennisinstellingen kunnen hierop inhaken.

Bedrijvenprogramma
De waterdelegatie reist naar Los Angeles en San Francisco. Verschillende (bedrijfs)bezoeken-, waaronder aan de LA River, bieden de delegatie de kans kennis te nemen van de mogelijkheden rondom de genoemde projecten. Er worden matchmaking- en netwerkevents georganiseerd met bedrijven in de regio. Tevens is in het programma ruimte voor kennismaking met grote aanbestedingsopdrachten gerelateerd aan deltatechnologie en rivieroeverbescherming in San Francisco.
De energiedelegatie reist naar San Francisco en Silicon Valley. De delegatie bezoekt belangrijke spelers en voorbeeldprojecten op het gebied van duurzame energie en neemt deel aan verschillende netwerkevents. Op deze manier krijgt u uitgebreid de gelegenheid om contacten te leggen met bedrijven en kennisinstellingen in San Francisco en Silicon Valley. Deze missie is vooral bedoeld voor bedrijven die op zoek zijn naar innovatie en nieuwe kansen in de VS.
Afhankelijk van de belangstelling worden voor de verschillende sectoren specifieke programmaonderdelen opgezet en worden B2B-afspraken voor u gemaakt. Aan de invulling van deze sectorprogramma's en het officiële programma wordt nu gestalte gegeven.

Van maandag 6 tot en met zaterdag 11 oktober vindt de GreenTech Week plaats in Oost Nederland voor iedereen die actief is of wil worden binnen de energie- en milieutechnologie.

Één week, waarin we in Oost Nederland onze activiteiten en evenementen op het gebied van energie- en milieutechnologie bundelen en inzetten voor de ontwikkeling van de sector. Gebundelde  innovatiekracht  in onze regio om de energietransitie en de biobased economy te versnellen

Wat:
Samenwerking en kennisuitwisseling tussen bedrijven, kennisinstellingen en overheden zijn voor versnelling de sleutels tot succes. Praktische richtlijnen stimuleren het gebruik van elektrische tweewielers

Het aantal elektrische tweewielers neemt sterk toe. Begin 2013 reden er in Nederland circa 1 miljoen elektrische fietsen en circa 29.000 elektrische brom- en snorfietsen en brommobielen. Niet alleen de gebruikers maar ook omwonenden genieten van de voordelen, zoals minder geluidsoverlast en minder uitlaatgassen.

Gemeenten kunnen met verschillende activiteiten het gebruik van elektrische tweewielers faciliteren of stimuleren. Het document ‘Elektrische tweewielers, Het handvat voor uw gemeente’ biedt hiervoor houvast. Ook de documenten ‘Startgids elektrisch vervoer voor gemeenten’ en ‘Laadinfrastructuur, oplossingen voor gemeenten’ helpen u op weg.

UITNODIGING VOOR DEELNAME AAN CLEAN ENERGY EXPO CHINA

Sinds 2003 organiseren KoelnMesse, China Electricity Council, en de China Machinery Industry Federation als overkoepelende organisatie van het CMMA dit evenement.

Wij willen u graag informeren over het Nederlands/Europees paviljoen op de komende Clean Energy Expo die in juli zal plaatsvinden in het China National Convention Center naast het olympisch stadion in Beijing.

De CEEC is het evenement voor renewable energy in China. In 2012 hebben ruim 18.000 bezoekers een bezoek gebracht aan de beurs waar 300 deelnemers zich op ruim 25.000 m2 hebben gepresenteerd.

Het concept voor de CEEC bestaat uit 6 sub-shows, toegewijd aan verschillende industrie sectoren:

-          Electric Mobility and Charging Facilities

-          Smart Grid

-          Bio Energy

-          Wind

CEEC maakt deel uit van een serie renewable beurzen georganiseerd door Koelnmesse met de nadruk op China en Zuidoost Azië met de beurs in Bangkok.
