About the ESNC
The European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) is an international contest that awards the best services, products, or business innovations using satellite navigation in everyday life. Since 2004, ESNC’s mission has been to spur on development of market-driven applications based on satellite navigation technologies, including EGNOS and Galileo. Within the past nine years more than 6,000 developers took part in the ESNC. More information at: www.galileo-masters.eu

Prize Pool
This year’s prize pool is worth EUR 1 million including cash, business incubation, coaching, patent consulting, prototyping and marketing support, access to customers and user communities, and publicity in the world’s leading satellite navigation network. Winners of the 25 regional and 7 special prizes will be in the running for the Galileo Master’s grand prize of EUR 20,000 and six months incubation in a regional centre of choice.

Application fields
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) enable countless applications here on Earth. Submissions are welcome in any relevant application field, including: Location Based Services, Smart Moving, Safety & Security,
Navigation, Health, Energy, Augmented Reality, Gaming, Sports & Tracking, Public & Social Services, Agriculture and many more.

7 Special Prizes
• The European GNSS Agency (GSA) is looking for the most promising EGNOS application idea.
• The European Space Agency (ESA) is looking for innovative ideas that can be immediately implemented and quickly nurtured into profitable businesses.
• The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is searching for safety critical applications and applications using the Galileo time stamp.
• The European Patent Office (EPO) awards the Best Patented Innovation related to GNSS.
• metaio is searching for the most innovative location-based Augmented Reality application.
• The ESNC University Challenge addresses students and research associates of all fields of studies.
• Participants with a working prototype can apply for the GNSS Living Lab Prize.

Thema: Vind passende financiering voor uw innovatieplannen!
U ziet een gat in de markt, u heeft een prachtig innovatieplan of u wilt een nieuw project starten, maar het ontbreekt u aan financiering. Hoe komt u dan toch aan geld? Voor een antwoord op deze vraag meldt u zich aan voor de PING-bijeenkomst Innoveren door financiering van innovatie die door Interface Nederland BV samen met de Metaalunie en Syntens Innovatiecentrum op 4 juni in Scherpenzeel wordt georganiseerd.

Tijdens de bijeenkomst krijgen deelnemers een eerlijk en onafhankelijk beeld van de vele financieringsmogelijkheden: van traditionele financiering bij de bank, tot het aantrekken van risicokapitaal, van 'friends, family and fools' tot crowdfunding. Daarnaast wordt gekeken welke financiering bij welk project past. U krijgt een concreet stappenplan met acties die de kans op succes vergroten. Welke mogelijkheden zijn er voor úw plannen?

We zijn deze middag te gast bij het prachtige experience centre "The Awarehouse" van Interface. Voor Interface biedt duurzaamheid een innovatief en duurzaam groeipotentieel. Deze wereldwijd opererende tapijttegelfabrikant werkt al bijna twintig jaar aan haar transitie naar een volledig duurzame onderneming. In 1994 stelde Interface-oprichter Ray Anderson zich ten doel een pionier van de nieuwe revolutie te worden en een samenleving te creëren waar bedrijven zelfs een herstellende bijdrage leveren aan milieu en maatschappij. Interface heeft zich ten doel gesteld voor 2020 deze missie te realiseren. Dit is een enorme uitdaging die de volledige inzet en het talent van alle medewerkers eist om tot het innovatieve denken te komen dat de organisatie nodig heeft.

Wat kunt u verwachten?

• Een uitdagende presentatie over visie en resultaten van de duurzaamheidmissie van Interface;
• Overzicht van de mogelijkheden en onmogelijkheden van innovatie- en groeifinanciering;
• Inzicht in wat past bij uw bedrijf en uw project met concrete handreikingen voor acties;
• Uitgebreide mogelijkheden voor netwerken met collega-ondernemers uit de regio.

Waardevolle innovatie door techniek, kwaliteit en samenwerking

Zonnepanelen, domotica en elektrische auto´s zijn langzamerhand ingeburgerd. Maar in universiteiten en laboratoria wordt op dit moment hard gewerkt aan de nieuwe generatie  innovaties. De technieken van overmorgen worden nu ontwikkeld. Hoe gaan die hun weg vinden naar consument, gemeenten en bedrijfsleven? En hoe waarborg je de kwaliteit? Het sleutelwoord is samenwerking!

Stichting KIEN stimuleert innovatie in elektrotechniek. KIEN brengt de partijen bij elkaar die relevante innovatieve concepten markt klaar kunnen maken. Die samen werken aan een gemeenschappelijk doel  en concrete projecten. Op 26 juni aanstaande kijken we graag samen met u naar de toekomst. Welke duurzaamheidstechnieken vinden we over tien, twintig jaar in huis, op kantoor en in gemeentes? En wat is uw en onze rol tijdens deze innovatiereis? Waar stapt u in, in welk traject helpt u de ontwikkelingen verder?
